China Mobile Reached 321 Million Subscribers

China Mobile, the People’s Republic of China’s largest mobile phone operator, announced Friday it added 5.276 million customers in April 2007.
The number of new users in last month was a record for the company, after 4.9 million new customers in February and 5.124 million in March.
The company stated that 4.923 million of the new customers in April were prepaid subscribers and 353,000 were contract customers.
At the end of the month, China Mobile had 321.396 million subscribers, from 316.12 million at the end of March. The cumulative net addition of subscribers for 2007 is 20.164 million.
